NRIA Maritime 2021

NRIA Maritime 2021 is about the future of the Swedish shipping sector, with a turnover above SEK 85 billion per year, directly employing around 30,000 people (indirectly    more than 100,000) and transporting more than 170 million tonnes of goods and 67 million passengers per year.

The focus is on how Swedish maritime research and innovation, with the right conditions, can facilitate a more sustainable and internationally competitive shipping sector contributing to important societal benefits.

The document was produced during 2020-2021 by key people and actors within the Swedish maritime sector, from universities and colleges, institutes, companies, maritime organisations and authorities, with project management from Lighthouse. Together, they own all the rights to this document. The content may be quoted if the source is clearly stated.
