Free safety training for people on board
Swedish organisation Skärgårdsredarna has launched a new theoretical training course, in basic safety, through e-learning. The course is aimed for anyone who is going to work on ships with a gross tonnage of less than 500, in inland waterways.
The training is made to to work on computers, smartphones and tablets, and has been developed in consultation with the Ship Operative Unit at the Transport Agency and other training organisers.
Skärgårdsredarna is an industry organisation for shipping companies with ferry and passenger ships with up to 500 passengers. The organisation represents approximately 115 member companies with 340 vessels carrying more than 35 million passengers annually and 12 million vehicles (2017).
