Zero dead within professional shipping in Sweden 2016

No one was killed in the Swedish professional shipping in 2016. It shows preliminary statistics from the Swedish Transport Agency.
Casualties within in Swedish professional shipping is rare, since 2007, 10 people have died but no one the past two years.
The Swedish Transport Agency writes in their preliminary report on transport safety in Sweden in 2016 that: "The level of safety in the Swedish professional shipping is high. The assessment is based on the supervision results in Swedish shipping and the accident and incident reports submitted to the Agency during the year. In addition, Sweden is ranked on the first place in the annual compilation of the Paris MoU (White List) which indicates a high level of compliance of ships in international traffic with Swedish flag. "
