This webinar will present the results from the innovation project Electric Light – Lätta elfartyg, which is part of the Swedish Transport Administrations industry programme Sustainable shipping together with presentations regarding trends within battery technology and battery safety. The project Sea Li-on, which is funded by the EU: Connecting Europe Facility, will also be presented.
The purpose of the project Electric Light – Lätta elfartyg was to establish an innovative ship concept for a fully electric Ro-Pax ship, which makes use of new technologies, especially in the area of propulsion and energy storage. The project also included a risk assessment of the concept and identification of possible follow up studies of critical design items.
The project Sea Li-on, Energy Storage Systems (ESS) for storing electricity and fast charging of ships, in the ports of Gothenburg and Kiel, is part of the global project Electrifying Short Sea Shipping.
The webinar will be in English. A link will be sent to registered participants before the meeting.
