One fatal accident last year

One person was killed as a result of an accident in the Swedish shipping industry last year. A total of 10 sailors was killed at work the last decade. This is shown by the Swedish Transport Agency's report on accidents in all types of traffic.
Next after aviation, shipping is the type of transport where there are least fatal accidents. A total of 20 people were killed at sea last year - 19 in the recreational boat sector and 1 in professional shipping. This is a decrease compared to the year before when a total of 15 people died in accidents, of which 1 in professional shipping.
A total of 366 people were killed in the Swedish traffic last year.
